The 5th Saronic Chamber Music Festival

31st July – 7th August 2015

The Saronic Chamber Music Festival returns to the islands of Greece’s Saronic gulf for a 5th consecutive year between 31st July and 7th August 2015 - with concerts in Galatas, Hydra, Poros and Spetses. The festival’s resident Leondari Ensemble welcomes esteemed guests: Professor Julian Arp of Graz Conservatoire; principal cellist of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Ariel Barnes, and exceptional young British talents, Anna Blackmur and Rosalind Ventris.

The Saronic Chamber Music Festival is an annual celebration of the great canon of chamber music by an ensemble of musicians as dedicated to each other as to the music they explore and perform. Inspired by the wonderful people and archaic landscape of the Saronic Gulf, The Leondari Ensemble surveys the powerful possibilities of the repertoire when approached from the perspective of great friendships as well as committed artistry – in an environment of rare beauty.

The 2015 programme includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, Ravel, Fauré and Tchaikovski.
